Auf der Zielgeraden ...

... heute hab ich den Tank montiert - nun ist die Optik im Groben fertig. Es fehlt hier und da noch etwas schwarze Farbe und einige Feinheiten müssen noch verbessert werden. - Und mir fehlen irgend wie die Worte. Vor 3 Jahren hab ich angefangen mir 'nen Kopf zu machen was ich mit dem Drumherum um den schönen Motor der W machen kann...

On the homestretch ... today i mounted the fuel tank - now the overall look of the bike is complete. There's still some black paint missing here & there and some details have to be improved. - And somehow i'm lacking words. Three years ago i started thinking about what i could do with the surroundings of the beautiful W engine...

Testride...

... heute mal bei Tag den neuen Tacho & die Kontrolleuchten beguggt. - Alles schick. Per Telefon mit GPS-Geschwindigkeitsmesser auch mal gepeilt ob die angezeigte Geschwindigkeit in etwa stimmt: Passt! :)
... und dann Zuhause festgestellt, daß die komplette rückwärtige Beleuchtung nur noch im Verdunkelungsmodus arbeitet. - Scheißendreck! - War aber zum Glück nur 'ne Sicherung dabei wirklich kaputt gegangen. Also bei nächster Gelegenheit die Kabel ordentlich verlegen und nochmal zusätzlich isolieren.

... in daylight to check the speedo & the leds. all good! - but when i got home the rearlight was dead. - damit! - luckily only a fuse died. so i'll take proper care about the wires and give them some extra isolation in the near future.

"T"-Day...

Heute ist mal wieder Tank-Tag. Konkret geht's um die inneren Rostwerte. - Was man auf dem Bild sehr gut nicht erkennt ist daß der Tank gerade randvoll mit Reiniger gefüllt ist. Danach kommt dann noch 'ne Füllung Rostumwandler und dann Kreem-Rot - weil's so gut zur Farbe passt :)

Today's tank-day again. Inside-rust-management to be more precisely. - What's pretty good not to see on the image is: the tank's filled completely with cleaner. After that a load of make-rust-to-no-rust-chemaical and finally Kreem-Rot to (hopefully) keep it that way and because it's such a good match to the colour on the outside :)

... und die Chrom-Allergie hat beim Tankdeckel wieder zugeschlagen.

... and the filler-cap suddenly is black.
